Year 11 GCSE Results
Once again, students have achieved superb GCSE results across a range of subjects at Dene Academy. This year, Dene students have excelled in French, History, English, Science and Mathematics. Furthermore, 94% of students achieved a Grade 9-4 in Art, 93% of students achieved a grade 9 to 4 in Photography and 100% of students achieved Distinction* in Dance.

We are looking for a Phonics Intervention Leader to implement learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of students with special educational needs to make accelerated progress with phonics.
Learning Support Unit Manager
We are looking for a Learning Support Unit Manager to lead, develop and manage the Learning Support Unit. To track the academic progress and secure high-quality outcomes for students with behavioural needs and learning difficulties.
Progress Leader (Maths)
We are seeking a Progress Leader (Maths) to implement learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of students, including more specific support for those with special educational needs to make accelerated progress in Maths.
Enhanced Teaching Assistant (SEND)
We are seeking an Enhanced Teaching Assistant to contribute to the delivery of the national curriculum and provide support for pupils, the teacher and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all, by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes.
Attendance Manager
We seek to appoint a highly organised and dedicated person to:
• Promote excellent attendance, punctuality and conduct amongst all students and ensure the school’s attendance procedures are maintained effectively.
• Establish and develop a professional service to support the school in raising attendance, investigating persistent absences and improving punctuality.
• Work on initiatives which raise the awareness of staff, parents and the community on the importance of school attendance.
Academic School Tutor
We are looking for a Academic School Tutor who can support and deliver flexible, person-centred programmes of study for individual and small groups of young people.
