Visits to Dene

At Dene, we pride ourselves on our strong relationships with our local primary schools. This is to ensure that every student enjoys a smooth transition into secondary school.

It’s likely that your child has already worked with our transition team and enjoyed experimenting in Science, being creative in Art, solving problems in Maths or even tackling our new climbing wall in PE.

Dene Academy understands how difficult it can be for parents to select the right school for their child. As a result, we hold an Information Evening in July and our annual Open Evening in September for Year 5 and 6.

We also appreciate that some parents want to see the school day in action; this is why we also offer the opportunity for parents / guardians to visit our school at any point in the school day. This is so they can see the quality of our lessons and the enthusiasm and exemplary behaviour of our students.
